New Hampshire has joined the national multi-state agreement with the nation's largest mortgage services over foreclosure abuses and fraud, and unacceptable nationwide mortgage servicing practices. Unemployed Homeowners get more time

Starting February 1st, if your mortgage is owned or insured by Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae, and you are out of work, you may qualify for a forbearance (defer payments) for up to a full year.  Talk to a local HUD Certified housing counselor to see if this plan is right for you.
